    The hardest thing about bass playing to me is resisting the natural urge to palm mute everything.

    I lay down what I think are nice clean takes, and when I play it back it's all muted fart noises.

    Beats the issue I had when I first started switching back and forth, which was that I got good at bass, but my guitar skills became a jumbled mess of fretting two strings at once, jumping way past the fret I wanted, and string skipping on account of bass string spacing

    Best part for me about playing bass is going back to guitar, the strings feel so tiny and weird after that bass workout.
