    Hiring out drum programming?

I'm decent enough at programming drums. I know how to do it, I have the software to do it, and I've spent enough time that I can put together decent enough demo-sounding drums for my songs.

The problem is, I think like a guitar player so my actual drum composition sucks ass. I have 8 songs just about in the can for an album that I've been writing for longer than I'll ever admit, and the only thing really holding me back from just releasing the damn thing is the drums.

Have any of you hired someone that was particularly good at this? I'm not looking for Steven Wilson levels of pedantic perfection, but I'd like someone that actually writes good drums. I can drag/drop Superior Drummer samples with the best of them, I'd like someone to go a step beyond that - someone that'll write complementary drum lines that sound like they belong there.

Example of my programming, which fits the song but most certainly doesn't sound natural, or like a human drummer played/wrote it:

18 year old me would have been over the moon to have something like this, but adult me thinks they just make the song tedious to listen to more than once.

Have you bought all of the toontrack midi packs in any way related to metal? I assume the album is thrash?!

Nice, that song sounds great. Not that I assumed you couldn't play - but that is some really good playing.

I think his best efforts will come up... short. Then you'll need me to replace him anyway.
