Is that Thunderbolt 2 or Thunderbolt 3?
When I recently did the "new Thunderbolt interface" thing, I didn't know that 2 and 3 were separate form factors, unlike USB. Like, physically different.
So after buying the ridiculously priced $40 Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 3 cable I realized the UAD was a 2 and had to buy not only another ridiculously priced $40 Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 2 cable, but some stupid $70 3 to 2 conversion unit. Fucking headache.
Thunderbolt is sick, but at least USB cables are reasonably priced.
