mish mash attempting something with orchestral crap. Not sure it worked that well. Bored of it, so no energy to do anything with it... anyway, this is getting tough now, and I am seriously running out of ideas with week 5!

This is awesome. I can easily see someone like Stu Block singing on it because it can go from power metal to death metal to black metal really quickly.

That section at 1:15 is sinister! The whole thing is pretty wicked sounding
Thanks! Glad ya like it. The funny thing is the part at 1:15 is what I was thinking about with my "need to learn to play leads" comment cause I can hear a better lick there but couldn't pull it off so I went minimalistic with it instead.

Dig it, as always. Somewhere there's a gang of goth girls waiting to groupie up around you.

This might be the most creative entry I've heard yet - I could definitely listen to a whole album of this, especially with a really dynamic singer who can switch between clean, mild breakup and full on Opeth growls. But, I get ya when you say you lost interest and how tough it's getting to keep coming up with fresh stuff - I felt like I was totally out of gas last week, then the main riff to my entry this week popped into my head. So, keep trying brutha, you're putting out solid tunes we want to listen to!

I wrote a pop song this week, and I'm posting it late in hopes that no one listens to it.

The metal returns next week, give me my ten points and move along

I wouldn't call this pop because it has a mainstream sound to it. The arrangement and drums are closer to prog rock even though it isn't heavy. This is really cool though. I dig it. What did you use for the synths?
