Since I just had a NCD literally one thread below this one, you'd think that 10 weeks later is a weird time to have another NCD. But hey, why the hell not?

TLDR: My shiny new X6 had a "non-repairable driveline fault", so BMW took it back. I didn't make any money off of it, but I did lose some. I basically rented an X6 for 3 months for about a grand. (wtf?) Anyway.

Do I need to use my turn signals now?

And how am I supposed to pronounce this for maximum douchebag? Pour Schah, like it's being said by Sean Connery?

Being a fellow member of the generation that unquestioningly follows all instructions this man gives, I'd say yes, you do:

That's fucked up that BMW didn't pay you back in full for having sold you a vehicle that was so far fucked that it was not repairable.

Eh, three months of a BMW X6 for $333 a month is something that's tough to feel bad about.

Yeah, I'm with Drew. The buyback was way more than equitable to the owner, since I would not expect the free use of a vehicle (beyond the use of a loaner while my vehicle is being serviced). The wife and I were very pleased with the VW TDI buyback, specifically because it put a big dent in the total cost of vehicle ownership. Doing the math, we basically halved our monthly payment for the period we owned the car. I kinda want them to keep fucking up, actually.
