My Focusrite 2i2 has served me well for nearly 4 years but it was finally time to upgrade it. My drumming is finally progressing and I want the ability to record audio so a multi-mic DI with more than 2 XLRs was what I wanted. Decided to stick with Focusrite and picked up a used 18i20. I don't...

I own Reaper and it's the only DAW I have used. I've had audio quantizing issues when double tracking guitars and the times I've tried looking into this in the past, it looked like process of quantizing using Reaper was more complicated than compared to Pro Tools (at least as the process was...

So can the Soundbrenner recieve MIDI from DAW? And how does it even work ?

Hi, I'm using Cubase 7 as my DAW which comes with a variety of stock plugins. I remember that the Reaper VST plugins are available for download and can be used with any DAW. Do any of you use them outside of Reaper? Would these add anything to the Cubase stock plugins? I'm still pretty much a...

Built a new PC for audio stuff. i7 7700K, ASRock Z270M Pro4, 256 GB M.2 SSD, a 3 and 2 TB harddrive, 32 GB of DDR4. Some other stuff. This thing is fast. I overclocked it to 4.7GHz. Really digging it. Any of you guys build anything lately?

I'm just curious to what everyone is using. Personally I use Ableton to produce whether its a remix or an original, but Protools to mix and precision editing. It also makes it easy for me to receive sessions from collaborators who are using mostly Protools. I'm just mad that when I rewire...

So this thing actually looks really cool. I've been using Reaper for about 8 years now and love it, but this looks like a fun new tool to try out sometime soon. Anyone tried it? Harrison Consoles: Mixbus

A Mackie Big Knob that is. Was doing some tracking yesterday with the vocalist in my new band and the headache or having to send everything to a separate bus to output to 7-8 for headphone monitoring and having to manually fuck with everything made me pine for the days of having a Control 24...

So far I've just been using Studio1 artist(the freebie) and it's missing some options I would like(export in MP3). I'm fairly comfortable with it, I'm also a noob to this stuff. To upgrade is $199, to switch to Reaper is $60. Pretty damn tempting considering all the good things I've heard and...

okay so here I am... I want to get a new DAW and get better mixes down and so on, but I'm stuck on what to "upgrade" to.. I have Reaper at the moment.. but i feel like something is just missing from it. Any thoughts on what i should try and why? I just do this for fun and just get basic mixes...

I can get sound out of amplitube using the standalone version but cant get it to work inside of any DAW. I have tried Reaper and Ableton Live with the same result....Any ideas?

The problem: You have a VST plugin you like, but it's Windows-only, and you're using a Mac. Theory: To host the plugin, we're going to use WineBottler to build an OS X app around a Windows VST host. We'll then use the Wormhole2 VST (which runs in both environments) to send audio data from the...

I asked this about the Fractal in another thread, but figured it was worth a new thread since it's a different animal. If I'm sending a DI out of Reaper via my interface (MOTU 828) into my Mark V, I need a reamp box, correct? Crooks mentioned this guy in the other thread: Radial...

They redesigned the audio engine to be 64 bit. And they promise to deliver better performance with the same hardware....not cheap though. I'm on PT9 though the compatibility for my 2010 MBP looks iffy Avid |News Room / Press Room Avid Pro Tools 11 Sets New Standard for Audio Production LAS...

So far so good. Things that are working so far: - Superior Drummer - DMGAudio plug-ins - Trilian - Reaper (duh) - MOTU's hardware drivers - EZKeys - Ozone 5 That's really all the plugins that I use, but it's nice to open up a full project and have everything work straight away. :yesway: Will...

I'm just grabbing it in a minute. I'll test it out and report back, but the video makes it look pretty cool.

V-Control Pro Another one. This is pretty damn slick. $50 is a little steep for a glorified remote desktop, but still - nifty stuff.

So far so good! We had our first full practice tonight, and the only issue we had was the 1/4" connectors I bought to plug my stereo cable from my Tascam preamp into my headphone amp. (I bought a 1/8" cable like an idiot)...the holes in the adapters are too big(the cable ends don't snap in, they...

I kinda overdid this, but what the hell. Here's DB getting used to the setup. He'd never heard 90% of these arrangements, so what you're hearing are one-shot clips of him just playing along with the click after a quick listen to my sequenced drums. :yesway:

Hope I got the right section! Has anyone tried using the Behringer BCR2000 with the Axe FX? Possibly not as the Axe is already quite intuitive enough (so I hear), but I'm a real hands-on kinda guy, and despite the Axe Edit and the Axe's own front panel interface, I would prefer the option of...
