GEORGE LYNCH Reveals New Project DIRTY SHIRLEY With Vocalist DINO JELUSICK
I like this better than any of his last projects. It just fits better in his history and style. Still need to hear more to make a better evaluation.
Orange had a contest giving away a Brent Hinds Terror head, PC212V cab and two tickets to Fest 18 and by some miracle or other I ended up winning it. I never win anything. I could be the only person in a race and I would still lose somehow.
I passed on the Fest Tickets - It is in November and...
Been wanting something Orangey for a while and finally settled on the Brent Hinds Terror.
15 watts, 2 channel, can run in Half or full power plus has a headroom/bedroom switch giving you 15, 7, 1 and 0.5 watts options and a tube buffered effects loop.
I Like this amp a lot. It has sparkly...
So I'm currently getting my overdrive sounds from a mixture of the OD channel on my DSL100 and a EQD palisades.
Amp alone - light crunch (cleans nicely with volume knob too)
Amp + Palisades - Shoutier OD (same as using a tube screamer to give more head room and clearer gain)
I then use the bost...
This is so not metal, there's not even any guitar, but I just checked these guys out tonight, and it's just flat out awesome. They're pretty pop-sounding, they seem to cover a lot of pop songs, maybe exclusively for all I know, but to say cover is understating it. They completely rework them...
I've been on quite a roll lately. First I scored a 5150 for an obscene price. The 5150 replaced my 6505+ 112 combo, which I turned around and put up for sale / trade. I ended up trading it straight up for a Faded Cherry Gibson Flying V.
I've been wanting a gibson syle flying V for quite some...
So at last I've decided to join MG.ORG!
I would like to welcome every MetalGuitarist!
My name is Gaclav and I thrash my guitar in female fronted Thrash/Death band CORPUS!
In my spare time I'm dealing with music production.
I think - for the moment - that's about it!
Stay Heavy Tuned!
I cant get enough! Had it for a few days and I love all of it... Except the Sexy Girls verses. They suck. But the rest is awesome. Sexy Girls does have a crazy goods slap bass solo in it though :yesway:
I shared this with Greg on Facebook, but realized that most of you probably haven't had the distinct pleasure of hearing this song. No, seriously, listen to it.
I think it has a vaguely Quintessence sound to it... which is fine by me.
I actually picked this up last week, played it a bit, and just tore it apart for an overhaul. It was dirty, now it's clean. Well, I still have to do keys and levers, and remove the old pads. Still haven't decided if I want to tarnish remover it or leave it with that patina.

Scored a cheap 3 p'up faded flying v this weekend and should get it early this week. It has a 490T and two 490R alnico's fitted with a six way rotary switch.
Was thinking of ripping 'em out and going ceramic. Have an Explorer with 500T and 496R ceramics and get on with those ok.
Imagine if Stevie Wonder, Yellowjackets, and Vital Information all formed a band and covered current pop songs. Three guys who are all just absurdly good at what they're doing. This is soo incredibly good.
