In the market to pick up another rectifier. Been round and round during lockdown with amps. I didn't even bother making an NAD for most of them because it was a case of buy-to-try (can't exactly go to a music store right now, and even if you could the selection around here sucks!) I came to the...
  2. Guitar: Gear Discussion Anyone here have one? Like it? Three bills is a bit steep for an OD but I've had some of their stuff in the past and it was really top notch.

Has anyone here tried recording using the salve out direct into their interface and using cab sims? I've got an older mid 90's dual rec that I'd like to start recording with. Ideally I'd just get a mic and preamp but I can't afford anything till I'm out of school and back to work.

Its kinda of Incredible on how the Oldy and Free Lepou sounds very similar to the real thing. Bias on the other hand...

At the shop, we've got a guy who builds pedals for FunctionFX, a smaller pedal builder you may or may not have heard of (ClusterFuzz, Accufuncture, Third Rail). He also does pedals for our shop, such as the Klon clone, AquaNet (CE-2 clone), and End of the World Fuzz. I had seen the hoopla over...

Back up for sale, but I mean it this time. Recently serviced and revalved with JJ's in the power section. £900. Will post pics soon.

They're not for me, but I finished two guitars over the last two days. High res gallery is on imgur: Elysian Guitars Espada model, featuring mahogany body, maple/bubinga three piece neck, ebony fretboard, bone nut, black satin finish, and Hipshot bridge and tuners. The pickups are...

So I finally got a Mesa after much research on the forums here and elsewhere. A big thanks to all who gave me advice in my other thread. Well here's what I got. So I actually don't know a lot about it. Fuck all, actually. Just that it's a older 2ch model. I got the serial number so...

Sunset - Dual Overdrive Pedal - Strymon Looks like a few steps up from the Riverside, and the features make this really appealing. :yum:

For those that have really explored the differences between these two, can you give me some insight? I suppose the most important comparison for me is the 5150 50 watt head vs the mini recto because I need a clean and I believe the 5150 LBX can't do a clean. I appreciate the 5150 50 has some...

Anyone have one of these? Seems pretty versatile and looks like you can pick up a used one pretty cheap...

I revalved the entire preamp section about a year ago and it really breathed new life into the amp from the stock valves. Anyway, I've never revalved the power amp section since owning it, which is pretty appalling considering I've been gigging it solid for over 18 months now  Surprised I...

Floating this one out there. $1250 shipped or trade for a VHT/Fryette/Rivera. In awesome shape, Mesa recently serviced it and it's been freshly retubed. Footswitch included.

I initially thought the valve in V1 had gone (or one side of it, at least) but after changing it out I still have the same problem. I noticed it for the first time at rehearsal a couple of weeks ago. The clean channel was just really quiet. I figured my dials had been moved, but they hadn't...

I can see in guitar center various dual rectifiers in 1000$, 1100$, 1200$, 1300$, but, I not know. A new dual rectifier is around 1950$, and a used 1000$? This is not very danger? Because, I think that this can be broken or bad. In what range of price is the best advice to buy a mint used Mesa...

As per title. Been tracking rectos with a band I'm working with and really like the triple. Very tight with slight boosting, really aggressive, punchy, clear. I probably want one. I can find out exactly when that one was from and try to match that if I wanted to buy it, but it's quite unlikely...

These awesome DI's and backing track belong to James Stephenson of Stymphalian Productions, which you can download here The signal chain is practically the same as what was used on the record, so it's OD808 > Dual Rec > Marshall 1936 (T75's) > Sm57

Chain was the usual, DI > recto > Zilla > 2 x 57's Anton will surely clear this up but I'm pretty sure guitar was his RGA7 with EMG 81-7 dans la bridge.

Stepped it down to 50w mode, with tube rectification engaged, and spongy mode, for extra vintage peaky/pushed cleans. Thanks again to Drew for the kickass track! :metal: EDIT: Wait... does this mean even I released something of Drew's before Drew did!??

I've always neglected the CL80 in this cab because on its own it sounds like guitar being played through a horses nose, but blended with the V30 I dig it! :metal: Credit to Cassidy for supplying the muzak.
