So I swapped over from Dunlop Heavycore to Elixir Optiweb strings back in the beginning of 2018. Partly down to every damn pack of Dunlop strings I've ever bought having rusted before I opened them, partly because I've been playing less and having coated strings means I need to change them less...

Apologies if this has been posted already or if it is old news but I saw various things about these in amongst the NAMM news headlines and thought I'd check them out. I know there are quite a few Elixir fans here (myself included), they sound interesting. By the sounds of it from the blurb I'm...

A friend wanted me to fix up his Gibson Faded Flying V and I got around to do it today. He just bought it used, and it had D'addario strings 046-010... Same as I use, on just about everything. And I really loved the sound of the guitar when trying it out, But the guy wanted me to change to...

If anyone's curious, I've been using a 0.60 bass Elixir on my Suhr 7 for the last couple weeks. Works like a charm - I'd prefer more of a 62, I think, but it's a better match for a 10-42 set than a 68. :yesway: Obviously, this only works on double locking guitars.

I'm trying to figure out where I can order large elixir's, my band plays in Ab, and I like heavy gauges, so I'd be looking for .68-.7. I saw that you can get them, I just don't know where, and elixir is closed for the holidays.

Hey guys. Most of you in the US are probably familiar with the goings-on at Elixir regarding the shortage of their anti-rust unwound treble strings. So Mike's said it, and the dude at GC who did my ace setup on my ESP said it. I like Elixirs, have used them for ages, and it's been a long time since I've tried something else. That said, It's just about string change time for a few fiddles (and my 2027 is in dire need of a fresh setup...

Any one try these out on their 7's? http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/regular/6/0/0/595600.jpg I really like the idea of longer lasting strings; thinking of adding a 10 and buying a couple of sets. 10-12-16-22-38-52-68 Any one have any experience with them?

I searched to see if there was already a thread about these and there wasn't. Well a) I LOVE their strings - I know some people don't b) Their cables are godly. I was skeptical at first but I thought 'you know what..it's Elixir...their string thing wasn't a gimmick afterall..i'm going to go...

Ok, so like a year ago I accidentally ordered Polywebs instead of Nanowebs, and they've been sitting on top of my dresser ever since since I just really don't prefer the Polywebs. Anyone want them? Free to anyone in the continental US, just give me an address and I'll stick them in the mail...
