So Dino has won the FF name and is working on a new album, the advance from NB has already been used up and he needs to pay the people that have already worked on the album in order for it to be released. If you can spare a bit of cash and want...
This is actually a whole level of fucking fantastic :agreed: THIS is the FF I know and love from the 90's. Atmospheric, epic, crushingly melodic industrial. This is head and shoulders above the other 'reunion' stuff I've heard, which was essentially Divine Heresy 2.0
Mixed this track for a mix competition and for practice.
I tried to get a good balance between all the instruments.
Feel free to critique it.
I hadn't really listened to them since High School but I found one of their CDs in the CD wallet in my car last night and forgot how much I used to dig these guys. I know there are some other fans here. Ralf Scheepers definitely is a better vocalist than Ripper and should have got the gig. (And...
I just was wondering if some of you guys could give me critiques on my tone/improvisation or some recommendations on improving my playing. Thanks.
(Towards the end, I play a lick from Don't Fear the Reaper and a half assed version of the Van Halen solo intro to You Really Got Me)
Dear god, the heavy! Many heavies! Very much many!
Recorded this at home with my Kemper and Ola Englund's Laboga Mr Hector profile. I applied a slight V eq, and voila! It sounds immense! Wait till the verse kicks in. The Nazgul is so sick it doesn't even make sense. Amazing, killer pickup. Enjoy!
Does anyone else think this is a problem in modern metal? It seems like the vast majority of bands stick within 20bpm +/- of a given tempo. You almost never get an album that has fast songs/mid paced songs/slow songs like, say, Heaven and Hell or Piece of Mind.
Agree? Disagree? Personally I...
Hey dudes, here's another cover of this song, this time with the II. I did it back in February when I had my Ultra and I wanted to see how much different my mixes are nowadays.
Usual setup, two guitars panned left/right, SD2 with TMF and crappy bass of doom. I used the Dizzy 4 amp model for the...
I know the answer to this question is 'most of them', seeing as Dino has the meanest right hand in the west, but, which Fear Factory songs (in particular) can I learn that will improve my rhythm alternate picking? Any suggestions?
Hello, some of you may know me from the 7string.org forums. Well I've moved here now!
Here are some arbitrary facts about me.
I'm 25, currently studying Music Production in Bath, I live in Bristol.
I hope you enjoy those facts. The rest of me appears to be far less absolute and as such not...
