Anybody ever look inside one? Is it a circuit board or just wired pots screwed into a metal plate?
I'd look in mine, but it's a 30 minute drive from my house.
I have a long stock Roadster switch and am curious to see if I can make my own 2-row version of rather than buying one.
Got this Midi Mate for sale. A bit rough around the edges, but still totally operational and reliable.
$130 OBO, willing to trade for a MIDI Moose or MIDI Mongoose. I'm looking for a smaller footswitch.
I have the Tech 21 Midi Moose and wonder how long a midi cable can be and still work?
I know for example USB cables have a very short limit, but XLR calbes can go for kilometers if I'm not mistaken.
MIDI cables, help!
Amp has arrived and sounds awesome. It even has my favorite power tubes in it... E34Ls! JJ's rather than Mullards, but I think these will last longer and hopefully not kill the screen grid resistors like Mullard's did. Anyways, I don't have a footswitch and I can't even use the solo boost...
So I just bought a Bias Rack. Sounds good, I like it. Fantastic.
I'm really not in the need for a midi switching system so I'm probably not going to go that route for footswitching, but in the manual it says "Compatible with footswitches meeting I2C protocol."
The fuck does that mean? Any help...
A buddy of mine has a Behringer Vamp (yeah, I know) he uses for bedroom jamming. The pedal recently crapped out on him, as those flimsy switches tend to do.
The pedal in question is one of these:
Which has a stereo 1/4" cable coming out of it and simply scrolls up and down presets.
I need to knock up a footswitch for a buddy of mine as his got run over in a parking lot and he's thrown it out. Does anyone have the schematic for it or can open up theirs for me and post a few pics? Fuck paying $120 for a new one when I have a drawer of latching footswitches and leds that cost...

I really love this amp but I'm on the hunt for a blue angel and can't justify owning three Mesa's at this point in my life. I figure this amp will be around for a while and I can pick up another in the future when I'm in a better financial situation. It's in great shape, gig bag and footswitch...
After something a little different so I'm sticking my ENGL Savage up here. Great amp, just not what I'm after these days...
Sunn Model T (1st gen or Fender reissue (Can only but dream...))
Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier
JCM800 (80's ones preferably)
Let me know what you have...
This is a BRAND NEW Engl E315 Gigmaster 15 head w/ Z-4 footswitch. It's been at my house the entire time & turned on twice. That's it.
Why am I selling? I have a different rig that's suiting my current gigging needs. I've been trying out lots of smaller amp heads lately, so my loss, your gain...
This footswitch does not actually send MIDI messages because it is made from a Wireless qwerty keyboard. Since I already have a computer in my rig, this works better for me. There is the possibility that a different version of this can send MIDI messages, but that is a topic for another...
Pretty neat little device, with some clever potential for DAW assignments. Tap your foot to punch in and whatnot, or stomp it like an angry German kid when you fuck up, and map it to an undo macro!
