It's not cheap as a MIM Player Strat is much less expensive but this one "fixes" everything I dont like on a regular Strat:
- 2 Tone Knobs (why???)
- 9 Inch radius... argh
- No Truss Rod adjustment on...
The big one, not the mini.
I've never liked the channel layout (with Mark-IV, the mode I'd use for leads, falling on the same channel as IIC+ and Extreme, which is the mode I'd be using for rhythms). But, 99% of my distorted lead playing on my Roadster is done on Ch 3 Vintage, my "lead" sound...
Played a couple of these in stores over the last few weeks, and they are utterly ridiculous. They play like butter, and I really dig the 25" scale length.
And some of the finish options are gorgeous
Might have to shift a guitar or two
I've never been much of an odd-shaped guitar guy, but I'm GASing so bad for a Firebird. Such sexy lines. Just look at all that sexiness.
I wonder how those ESP LTD Phoenix guitars play. It's their version of the Firebird.
So, let's hear you. Sound off like you got a pair!
