I have too much random gear sitting around not getting use so I want to assemble it into a few different rigs to have some plug and play options.
Here's my latest shower thought: I have 2 engl e530 preamps, and 2 gsp1101 units sitting idle. I want to run those into a Mesa 2:90 and out to two...
If I'm smashing the strings during startup it will add ugly distortion to my bass preset!
If I do NTO smasht the strings in startup it will sound gooD!
Beware I was fooling myself oen time in the video but I also realized it quickly!
Download GSP patch here!
The IR I'm using is "Marshall1960A-G12Ms-R121-CapEdge-1in" and you can buy it from Redwirez:
Red Wire Impulse Responses | High quality guitar speaker cabinet IRs for use with convolution...
SUPER GLUE APPROVED TONE!
Two super glue bottles, one for each nostril!
With IRs I do think the GSP1101 is sounding quite good but there's one big annoynace with it:
The LPF is set way too damn low! It just makes the tone...
The stock cab is a "Rectifier". It quite close to the IR I used
The IR is called "Marshall1960A-G12Ms-SM57-Cone-0in"
0:00 stock cab
0:30 stock cab
0:38 stock cab
0:42 stock cab
UPDATE ! 2018-04-14
I GOT IT WORKING!!!!!! I NOW HAVE SUCCESSFULLY ADDED A COUPLE OF IRS INTO THE GSP1101!!!!!!!!!!
And goddamn if it doesn't make a difference
Now I'm definitely keeping this motherfucker!
Going back and fourth between the IRs and the stock cab models tells how good IRs...
I finally got around to try out the GSP1101
Playing starts at 0:20
Trying to play something different from my usual stuff :flex:
OPINION ON THE GSP1101:
It does not sound as good as the Kemper, which shouldn't suprise anyone.
But it sounds alright, and for rehearsal which I intend to use it...
Thread title is pretty specific! I'm looking for a more transparent 4-cable-method effects box to throw in my amp's chain now that I've modded my recto's loop. Based on some of James' comments and videos, I'm probably going to wind up pulling the trigger soon on the G-System, but had a few...
As incoming gear days are now a thing I thought I'd post this up!
I just won a gsp1101 on eBay for £130 including shipping!
I know its it's no axe fx in terms of amp modelling but I've been looking for an fx processor to use with my mark IV that will do 4cm and minimal tone suck (context...
Not too long ago, I purchased a Digitech GSP1101 used from eBay, and almost immediately put the vC63 firmware on it and went to town.
One thing I noticed after doing this is that some of the factory presets have changed to a mono output. Off the top of my head, the "METAL HEAD"...
Got this thing today, and I gotta say it sounds fucking amazing, the first patch I made was a SLO-100 with a TS and i'm already getting close to a Gojira type sound and jammed to wolf down the earth like 50 times
I messed with pretty much all of the presets, amp models, effects etc...
What do you think guys? Apart from missing a bass guitar is there anything you would suggest?
I recorded two tracks with a friends Gibson Explorer using my Digitech GSP1101 and used impulses for cab simulation.
Drums are Metal Machine.
So i'm getting a GSP1101 for christmas, (my parents are paying mostly over then me trying to sell some shit) and i'm wondering what the "beta" software thing actually gives, I know it gives the amp models from the RP1000 like the 5150, RG100 etc but what about the effects? I haven't seen...
I didn't intend this to be so long, so kudos to anyone who makes it all the way through it. Here's the 1101 with my amp setup 4CM, and me talking too fast and trying my best not to sound like a car salesman.
