So, the day has come. My pickups arrived for the Schecter Solo my wife calls The Dark Mistress. They are the black brushed chrome EMG 57/66 set. Also going to install M-Steel 10's.
Brace yourself, bitch... we're doin' this dry.
Thinking about a change in my Suhr again - I like how the Rebel Yells sound, but theyre' really not all that hot, at all, meaning I have to push the Rectfier's preamp gain further than it likes, and I've got them adjusted about as close to the strings as I can get away with. They kill for lower...
Do you hate good tone? Is chainsaw black metal grind your thing? Do you run a Metal Zone into your Crate full stack? Do you think Dimebag used too much mids? Do you own a Mark V and run the gain, treble and presence on 10?
WELL TODAY IS YOUR LUCKY DAY FRIEND.
Ol' Papa Quigs has JUST the...
I did a forum search but did not find anything on this, anyone tried one of these yet? Seems like a great idea, it automatically bias's your amp and you can set custom bias to run two 6l6 and two El34 if you want.
Also great for Mesa Products that run low bias or if you have miss matched tubes...
This is my first post, so pardon me if there is some mistake here and there
can some one help me to install the emg 81/85 pickup on my schecter c1 standard? I'm a noob on this kinda situation.
my guitar has 2 pickups (passive humbucking, Duncan Designed), 1 volume for bridge...
Although this isn't exactly a new thing, I did my first solderless EMG install tonight.
The guitar is an LTD EC50 and the pickups were a pair of EMG 60's.
Up to this point, pickup installs was always a soldering affair which, on occasion, meant hunting down a weak solder point.
Went back to Win7 on one of my machines today. Win8:
Doesn't work with vCenter.
Doesn't work with Citrix XenApp
Sucks to RDP into
Is generally frustrating for no good reason
There's really no point to it. Therefore, I wiped the poop off of the SSD, put Win7 back on, and now I have a useful...
So I'm doing a pickup swap, I've never done this before, and its in my Ibanez prestige so I REALLY don't wanna mess it up. I just was hoping for a few tips/tricks/what not to do from people more experienced than myself. any how-to guides are extremely appreciated obviously!
I grabbed a copy of rage on sale at EB games yesterday.
I started installing it at 4 pm yesterday.
11 am today, it is still fucking patching. :squint:
HaGGuS the angry h8ter gamer.
Got a little package from Pennsylvania today. FINALLY. Absolutely no thanks to the USPS who lost my package.
Banjo Mike is the frickin man. Look at all the fun shit he includes with your pickup purchase:
Here's the '59-7 Neck and the Duncan Distortion 7 Bridge:
So while I was on vacation in Colorado last week, my buddy Cyrus shot me an email with a link to a fresh looking RG7620GN. Of course I couldn't let it fall into the wrong hands (again) so, Cyrus being the awesome dude he is, snapped it up for me and held onto it until I got back.
I have 4 SATA ports on my board. SATA0 is my primary, and now im tossing a 2nd hard disk in there on SATA1.
When I boot, the drive isn't recognized. Says SATA1 Not Found.
Looking under CMOS, SATA0 is there, all snuggly and happy, but the second disk drive isnt. I'm sure I'm missing something...
I would like to create a CD that installs my current Linux Mint setup. I've never done this before, so I'm not sure if there is an easy tool available to do this, or if I should .tar.gz it up and find/build an installer script and all that myself.
I dig the setup that I have, and I would like...
They fit! :yesway:
Ignore the strings/wires still in from the old stuff - I have to run out and grab some pickup rings, and wanted to make sure they actually fit in the guitar before I started taking it apart.
All 6 wires on these are soldered somewhere crazy, so this may take me a while.
Ok, i've got the bridge studs that will be a snug fit. I do not have the stop tailpiece studs yet but they should be here today or tomorrow. What should I use when I install these? The tuneomatic studs will be a Very snug fit and I want to make sure I don't break anything or chip any wood off...
So, i picked myself up a fancy pants Zonet ZEW1642D Wireless N card to get the minecraft server up and running temporarily (Doesnt need anywhere near that much bandwidth), and well, i dont have a clue in hell what on earth i am doing.

Anyways, im running ubuntu server...
