Found this, thought some of you might be interested. Reaktor is on sale from $399 to $99, as well as 50% off a lot of other software. Reaktor is amazing if you want to use synths in your music, very high quality, very easy to use, but also very capable and in-depth if you want it to be.

Note: I'm playing this with a keyboard, and it's just for an example, so the playing is NOT tight. The MIDI editor works as expected, and imo the tone is pretty damn good.
(My mix, however, is not, since it's just raw to the master bus, so it's loud as hell)...
