Since I have an itty bitty little 112, an Ikea cabinet, some blankets, an sm58, and arguably too much free time, I did this stupid shit. I present to you the Mäkämpquietür: I know that stuffing the thing with that many blankets/pillows and using an empty tissue box as a mic stand probably...

I plan on building an ISO cab and I struggle finding info on Internet. I know the inner volume behing and in front of the speaker will affect the sound and that it depend on the spec of the speaker I choose, witch is this Eminence the Governor 16. Speaker Detail | Eminence Speaker Is there...

Sunday morning contemplations of something I'll probably never end up doing. Everything I'm reading about isolation cabinets says they still sound boxy no matter what the acoustic treatment inside. I'm wondering if it's big enough and packed with a ton of absorbent stuff maybe it could work...

I want to record at higher volumes at home. Yes I have an AxeFX II for recording and jamming at night quietly, but I also have a ton of pedals and wanted to start doing YouTube demos. My amp is fairly loud in the room but it still doesn't give me a very loud signal when it finally gets to my...

Over xmas I went and saw an old friend, and did some gear trading, and came home with an iso cab he'd built. Basically a hell of a lot like the Randall iso cab, except no mics, no speaker and it's roadcased, and made with proper birch ply inside. It's also alread got one swan neck mic holder...

netmusicians.org - the guitar gear mp3 database This guy is from HCAF, and he posted a couple mp3's from a Fender Prosonic and a VHT Deliverance. The clips sound pretty good; definitely better to my ears than any of the Grendel clips I've heard. For $330, it's a steal, even if you plan on...

I've been waiting for these to become available. I'm really interested in checking one of these out. My 5150 II and Mark IV both sound tons better with some decent volume going them. Anyone else thinking about these?

Seriously, with the home recording market pretty much in full swing for the past few years, why haven't ISO cabs become more prevalent in the market? Right now, we've got: 1. Rivera Silent Sister. Great sounding cabinet, but pricey at $999. 2. Randall ISO. Mediocre, and requires modification...

So just have a DVD in raw format, a bunch of VOB's and such. I'd like to make it an ISO, so that I can mount it and use the menus and such from my media server. Where do I start?

Looking at this again... Palmer speaker simulator stuff is about half the price of the ISO cabs. The Axe trak, not sure, but i know mike had/has one? The Randall one, yes, noiser, but can add microphones and switch out the speaker? Or is it just best to build on of the buggers?
