Other than Ibanez Rules, where do you guys buy these? I like the size and feel of the Ibby ones, but the Warmoth ones I'd bought in the past were a bit more round or much flatter, a slightly different size, and had a much more coarse knurling on them, and they don't have the matte silver finish...
So when I got my Charvel a bit ago some of you expressed your displeasure with its knobs. I did not disagree, but it's solid shaft pots made the easy choice of white Strat knobs impossible. So the other day I had the brainstorm of MXR style knobs ala EVH. Whatchoo guys think? This thing will...
decided after 15 years to mod my bass with pickups and a new preamp. a friend recommended east preamps so we installed a uni-pre and a set of bartolini m4's. pretty stoked with how it turned out, though i'm still on the learning curve for dialing it in (too many knobs for my old brain)...
You guys may remember this guitar from this thread.
It plays great, sounds awesome, and looks fantastic. I kept good care of it, and added some pretty cool features: '61 pickguard, raw nickel pickup covers, Gibson OEM Silvertop knobs, and a Gibson plain truss cover.
I'd like to get $475...
I love the knobs on this guitar. It's its only redeeming feature. Can one purchase these separately?
I checked out some parts sites, and couldn't find anything similar.
If you remember from my other thread, I had a standard spaced pickup in the bridge position which I exchanged and that is all looking better.
I got Evolution pickups and knobs and cover from All Parts. The knobs fit decently but they don't seem like they are on completely, like almost...
I thought Dimarzio made them to match their pickups and straps? But I can't seem to find them.
I need a set of neon green ones and a set of neon red ones, strat style. Could anyone link me some?
The knobs on EBMM JPX style guitars are unlike any of the usual knobs I see. Does anyone know what this style of knob is called? And how to obtain a set? I'd like to try them on one of my guitars.
Basically I'm looking at either the M-Audio KeyRig 49 or the Alesis Q49, or the M-Audio Oxygen 49 or the Alesis QX49.
The first two are basically just MIDI controllers with basic controls and pitch/modulation wheels, and the second two are the same but with a bunch of sliders and knobs.
I'm...
Nobease knobs look like this, and are damn hard to find these days:
I'm also looking for a switch tip in a tasteless colour.
I'd rather both weren't green as the guitar they are going in is, but I'll take what I can get.
Hit me up!
"Recording is easy, right Chris?"
Yes, yes it is. Getting awesome, shredly tone at home is as simple as plugging in your guitar, buying a bunch of really expensive shit, and then twisting a few knobs.
Let's have a quick tour of the knobs that I have to think about when I record something...
I've been thinking about this for a bit. Figured I'd throw this up here and see what some of what everyone thinks.
Since getting the Hulk in I've been playing around with different settings with the tone knob. To my ears it sounds like the EMGXs in the hulk respond more in a passive pickup way...
