When I saw this on Facebook I had no clue who Tim Howley was until I looked him up and found he was in a band I'm kind of familiar with (Fit For An Autopsy). Either way, this guitar is what I'd spec given the opportunity to have an LACS built. To me it's damn near perfect.

Caught this on his Instagram a few days back. Purple and gold w/ the white pearloid pickguard looks killer and that quilt top looks pretty insane. A maple board would have put it over the top for me, but I still can dig it. I'm curious to know the volume of guitars coming out of the LACS these days.
I'll post this here first ;)

I am selling my Ibanez LACS RG7-CSD because I have fallen in love with 8 strings, and doubt I'll touch a 7 string again. These things are as rare as rocking horse shit, and I've even improved upon it with this one.
Stock EMG 707's were replaced with EMG 707TW's, 18v modded with a new twin...
Initial thoughts after 10 minutes of play and fucking with it to rebalance the trem:
I suspect the body is at least Alder if not a heavier tone wood. It is far too heavy for Basswood in anycase, and way too crisp. I will confirm that later when I remove the neck. I can't tell from the cavities...
