I'm going to start the cover/song and lead a week this monday. You'll have from the monday when the thread is posted, until the next monday when the next week's thread is put up to work on your submissions (It was saturday->friday, but basically, i'm crap at doing saturday mornings, so I'm...

Yeah!! ..timing? ...No problem.. Pitch? ...Ditto! All because of this baby... haha..kidding apart, I bought it more for live use at our gigs.. Being the only guitarist in my band I've been interested in this pedal since it was announced a while ago & have actually always wanted...

The clip starts with the camera audio then switches to the actual audio from the song. (Though the camera audio is still active, so occasionally you hear a pick sound). I actually improvised this solo one of the very first times I started trying to track it, then I stupidly thought to myself...

So, I finally got it... The guy I was buying this amp from lives in Dallas and there was construction, severe weather, and obstructions on his end to deal with - so what should have been 6 hours round-trip turned into 9 hours. Anyway, it's here. This is a Mesa Boogie Lone Star Special head -...

Yep I'd like to experiment with different digital delays. Tried analog but doesn't work with my type of tone/leads.

Shoved the camera in my chops for some lead tracking today Not the greatest take but you get the idea :metal:
  7. Guitar: Gear Discussion
I'm intrigued by this pedal to thicken and juice-up leads. But every example of it I've seen seems like it's only geared towards beefing up a crunch channel in a more blues/rock setting. But what about high gain? It seems (in theory) like the ideal thing to step on when you want to round out...

So, we're talking about how I had to go get new jeans, because what I had were getting too worn. One guy asks how much I wash my jeans, to which I reply I wear them twice, unless A. I sweat unusually, B. work in the yard or something, C. spill something on them, or D. take a dump that day...

So, i bought a DBK body, as I like the finish, and the pickguard was broken. I ordered a new one, and then broke that one whilst being retarded. So I got gaffa tape, slapped in the pickups, put a neck on it, and then, this was born! it's a shame none of the boards on the MTM2's I acquired...

Hey guys, So ironically, everything I have been writing lately seems to be suited for vocals. I came up with a quick sketch for a backing track tonight, and I don't know if I should solo the crap out of it or save it for vox. What do you think...
  12. Guitar: Instrument Discussion
So, my band played an acoustic show last night at a local restaurant, and they want us back. Problem is, I fucking hate playing leads on an acoustic . Yeah, it's probably just my pussy-hands and all, but bending a high G on the 2nd string of a set of fucking 13's tuned Eb with my fretting...

I have an Ampeg V-412TL cabinet upgraded with two Celestion Classic Lead 80s and two WGS British Leads (Classic Lead 80 clones), arranged in an X pattern. It's a rear-loaded, slant-front cab, very similar in construction to a Marshall 1960A. This is the matching cab for the Lee Jackson-designed...

I'm doing some wah stuff, and the wah bits are a lot brighter (and have a lot more treble) than the rest of the lead once I step off the wah and the circuit closes. Is my best bet to split the track and just EQ it and cut the high bits out, or is there a more "correct" way to go about it...

What's the secret? My lead tracks are getting buried behind my drums and rhythms. I've brought the mids up a bit, which seems to help, and added a little volume, but the doubletracked rhythm guitars still drown it out. Gimme some tips!
