Pod Go arrived yesterday. Easy to program and sounds killer. Bought a used one and they sent a new one. Stoked.

Which is the smallest modeller which has MIDI in (for automation) and 2 XLR outs (1 for IEM and 1 for FOH)? Most small (like Boss GT-001) doesn't have MIDI. And they seldom have XLR outs either. Trying to figure out a workable "fly rig" thats way smaller and portable than our main rack rig...

Holy shit does the Fender Mustang GT sound crap. Actually, I even preferred the Peavey Vypyr to the real 5150 in the video. The Fender reminded me of my dads Vox modeler combo that had some "metal" presets that just like the Fender sounded like molten ass. (yeah I know it's the "toen...

I've had two Atomics before; one that I Jeff'd when they first came out, then one last year that I offed to pay for some bills. So when they announced the AA12, I liked the idea. It's the same Amplifire engine as the other, but in a shell that's got more ins/outs, and more buttons. I've set up...

Headrush Certainly looks interesting, but like anything, we'll see. It's 899 in squiggles, no idea what the USD is.

I guess I've been out of the loop for a bit, I didn't realize this was such a prevalent thing. I knew Kemper had some preset packs and that Fractal sold cab models, but I didn't realize that people were actually charging for plain old presets now. Like this guy: "Moke's Custom Presets" store...

An option for the cab sim to sound like the real cab does in a room, rather than the way it does recorded with a mic. I think this would work well for those times when a modeler is being used as a live rig through full-range speakers. Am I alone in thinking this would be a cool and useful option?

Wirelessly posted (iPhone. : Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3) When I make some patches on the pod hd500 or the axe fx. Some models sound far back in the mix. That's the best way I can...

Not a lot to be excited over on these at this point, since they've been out for awhile, but I ended up getting a 500 this week. So far I'm quite happy with it. Far less fizzy than the older modelers, more dynamic, more toobey. I still prefer the real thing over this, but it's a huge step in...

And the best option is.. I'm finding out that I like the sound a lot better with my 808 in front of it as opposed to using the sims.

So I Visited Fractal Audio Today (Axe-FX tidbits/fun) - Sevenstring.org According to Fractal Audio, there is going to be an effects-only version of the Axe... and it shall be rackmountable. Auctions for first-born children surely will commence at the Fractal Forums shortly. Mr. Fractal also...

Line 6 - M9 Stompbox Modeler - Guitar Multi Effects Pedal Kinda interesting, though it lacks a loop, which means you either use everything up front into a clean channel, or run it in the loop and not use the distortions. Only $100 less than the M13 too, which is odd.

I'm moving the Digitech GNX3000 and my old Behringer guitar amp cuz I want something better in terms of tone and tweakability. Something else to note is that I'll be living in a graduate off campus house meaning tube amps/amps in general won't be useful as my roomies are all PhD/MS Students so...
