  1. Guitar: Tech, Electronics and DIY
This is the only OFR guitar I own so I'm afraid I can't really compare to somerhing to tell if this is normal, but is it typical yo have a little bit of play in the studs in an OFR? I'm 99% sure it's the studs themselves and not the anchors, which seem pretty rock-solid, and it's just that I can...

Hey dudes, if any of you have a black OFR laying around, get at me. Bonus points for a matching R3 locking nut :yesway:

Replaced my LO TRS in my RG7420. Seemed to fit perfectly, until I went to put the cavity cover back on. The block is just a hair too tall. I still have to measure the block, but Floyd Upgrades has 7 string brass blocks. I think the 34mm one is the one I need. Anybody run across this problem...
  4. Guitar: Tech, Electronics and DIY
I read the stickies post on this. Looking to swap out the trem on my RG7420. It has the stock Lo TRS and I want to put an OFR on it. Is it necessary to swap the studs as well? I'm kind of freaked on having to drill my guitar.
  5. Guitar: Instrument Discussion
Hey all, I'm really inexperienced with trems in general so I thought I'd ask here. What's everyone's preference in trem, particularly the OFR 7 vs the Lo Pro Edge 7? I'm mostly concerned about tuning stability and durability. What's your favorite trem overall?
  6. Guitar: Instrument Discussion
I was looking through some guitars in a store and I found a used Ibanez RG470 that felt decent, except the bridge couldn't stay in tune if its life depended on it. Must be some cheaper version of Edge. I'm not Ibby expert. But I did like that I could slack the strings completely! I can't...

POSITIVE INFORMATION ALERT!!! I had NO idea about this until I was looking at my Jackson RR24. Probably I've been completely ignorant of this fact for all years, but it makes bridge swapping on many guitars SUPER EASY! I thought FRT-2000 had completely different threading... I know FR...

I have an FR1000 that's in the new JS75 and I need a new block for it as it needs a 37 or 42mm. Getting one for the 1000 series here is impossible, so I'll probably have to get one for the German made model. Will they fit before I go and outlay the cash?

So, what radius does old OFR nuts have? (just wondering, part of the Barry refret problem...)
  10. Guitar: Instrument Discussion
I'm looking for a trem equipped guitar, currently thinking about a Horizon FR-II. But I'm not sure what trem it has or if it's any good. Is it an OFR?

Ok. I have this gold OFR that's about 13 years old. Everything is original except for 1 of the little block inserts, as I lost 1. There is some slight pitting or something as seen in the pic, and the low e string saddle is a bit chewed up on one side. I think back when I was playing out a lot a...

So... I just noticed when recording he tunes his Floyd Rose (which he shouldn't do after every take if set up properly anyway) with the spring screws on the back  His reason being "all strings are a little flat so it's easier to just adjust the springs"... :ugh: Well, he's kinda...

In my NGD thread for the Kramer Focus a few days ago, I noted that I was getting a Pacer Imperial (which the Focus is based off of) with which to compare. Well, here it is, straight out of 1983. I also included a few bad photos of the two guitars together for comparison's sake...

Floyd Rose Push-In Style Tremolo Arm | Floyd Rose Floyd Rose Push-In Style Tremolo Arm Dave and I have been keeping an eye on this for a while, and over the weekend these came back in stock. I've got two on the way - belatedly, I realized I own three OFR-equipped guitars, so I'll probably be...

First of it all, it would be free. I currently have an 07 Loomis which has a german OFR and I have a Jackson SLAT3-7 with an FRT-1000 on the way. I plan on selling the Loomis so I'm wondering if I should swap the bridges and keep the OFR on the Jackson. Since the Loomis only had the OFR in...

I am a trem noob and I'm trying to decide what to order for my RG7 project. The price difference between the two certainly has me leaning towards the OFR. Anybody care to chime in on the general pros and cons of having an OFR versus going with the LoPro? Thanks in advance, old farts. :yesway:
