Seems all Youtubers already got it and as usual everybody is releasing videos about it at same time, here some of the ones I watch regularly

https://www.strymon.net/products/sunset/ Anyone here have one? Like it? Three bills is a bit steep for an OD but I've had some of their stuff in the past and it was really top notch.

https://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/mxr-m77se-special-edition-badass-overdrive-effects-pedal/l46277000000000 Crazy good boost pedal for this peice. A Boss SD-1 with more (and actually useful) bells and whistles.

I'm not really a pedal/amp/blabla type of guy but it seemed to have a nice set of features. The best thing about the video is definitely the guitarists solo. :metal::metal::metal:

So far I have only owned and used the Maxon OD808 as a boost for my tube heads. It's pretty much always on except for the 1% of the time I'm playing clean. I'm wondering if I'd get a different tone or tighter grind if I got one of the other pedals out there, there are many and I'd be curious...

So I recently learned about the Fortin 33, which seems to be an unobtainable/ridiculously overpriced TC Spark  One thing I dig about it though, is the ability to run a control out and switch amp channels with it. I'm wondering if it is easy to just mod an overdrive pedal to do this. For...

After moving houses, I'm taking stock of what I have. I've pared way down on my gear - after getting rid of the Lone Star and picking up the Mark V combo (not in that order,) I find myself with the following gear: Mark V 90 Combo Gibson Les Paul Traditional Gibson Les Paul Jr. (single P90)...

Hey guys! Merry Christmas to all of you! Here it comes... I'm tone hunting and I need some help. I've eliminated nearly all of my pedals... I have a Korg tuner, a Wah (thank you Beneharris for the repairs,) and an MXR Carbon Copy delay. I recently threw some new tubes in the Lone Star, so...

In retrospect, the Bloody Murder-inspired searing blue LED makes some of the settings tough to see, but I finally got around to shooting a video with this. Video aside, Dana fuckin' KILLED it on the enclosure here - such an awesome looking OD. :metal:

Has anyone actually played one of these? This thing seems to have endless possibilities and would look to work well with any amp. Sounds pretty fucking gnarly. This Andertons video actually is a better show of what it can do honestly, what you guys think?

I'm looking to build a DIY overdrive. Likely some sort of tubescreamer clone or something. Does anyone have any personal experience with any kit, or be able to make a recommendation? The more knobs and switches the better. I need a project... I like this one but it's been out of stock for...

Sunset - Dual Overdrive Pedal - Strymon Looks like a few steps up from the Riverside, and the features make this really appealing. :yum:

Dude, this pedal has some thick tone. Nice chunky bottom too.:yesway:

I've heard using overdrive pedals (like the Boss SD-1) on non-tube amps doesn't work so well and you're better off using distortion pedals instead of O/D pedals. I get the science - to some extent - but really only care about tone. For those with experience in this area, what are your thoughts...

An OD designed for metal with a Decimator-style gate built in? This is very interesting.

Ok, so I've been slowly working on this for a while now (did the PCB board in one go, and then the rest of it on Sunday night, finishing minutes before the debate), but I've finally got this up and running: I wouldn't necessarily recommend one of these for someone with *no* soldering...
