Does anyone on here own a 2014 Schecter Banshee Passive (with the Nazgul/Sentient set)? I had a different discussion going on the Nazgul/Sentient vs JB/59 set, but now I'm really interested more in the 2014 version.
Unfortunately, neither of the Schecter dealers near me has the Banshee model...
Is there a passive equivalent to the Seymour Duncan Blackouts? I have them in my main guitar which is an Ibanez S520ex . I just bought an Ibanez S470 with the intention of it becoming my back up guitar. I would like it to sound the same but go with a passive setup rather than active. Thoughts?

Found the below.
To sum it up. Passive sized pickups will be the size of covered BKP's, and they're prototyping 81-8's and 85-7's, along with the 55/67 set in 7/8 string.

Saw this on Seymour Duncans' Facebook:
Want to replace your actives with passives? These are 7-string Distortions in active housing. You may have seen Keith Merrow using these (Ola Englund (Fearedse) uses an 8-string version too). You can get them from the Custom Shop.
Reckless gig with a doofus soundman at the legendary Stone Pony:
This cab is in very good shape. It has been lugged around and gigged with for a couple of years, so yes the little corner protectors are a bit dinged up and the Tolex has a couple of scars. I can get to it this...
Quick question, hypothetically if you want to switch from active pickups to passive I know you need new pots and stuff, but what about the bridge ground wire? Passive pickups have a ground wire hooked up to the bridge don't they? So say your guitar came installed with active pickups and doesn't...

Are these things any good? I need an FRFR cab for my Axe II that's passive
can they handle 7 string tunings?
any one here have any experience with these?
First things first, this guitar made me smile like a motherfucker right when I picked it up. I haven't done that in years so thats a huge sign for me that it's a keeper. It's much heavier than the ESP and the neck is a hair wider and a hair thicker than my MHB400's neck which I think is an...
Custom ordered and made EMG 707 to Passive conversion rings. These are made by Dave @ Fretsonthenet and mount to the inside of the EMG route thus saving the top of the guitar.
I had two ordered for a pair of Jacksons but feel like metal ones would look better. These are normal high...
First off i'm new to these forums and this will be my first post...so hello all!
Although i'm primarily an orchestral player, bassist, double bassist...etc. for anything but metal, my dad once bought an esp ltd explorer off ebay...literally for a laugh.
This can't have been such a bad idea as...
I have decided to finally replace the bridge Pickup on my GSA, as it wasn't really doing it for me. Since I am not as familiar with passives as I am actives, I have decided to turn to the great collective wisdom of this forum.
I am particularly partial towards a Motherbucker, since I am not...
Just lookin for recommendations on bass pickups. None of the manufactures seem to have good audio files so I was hoping someone could post recordings or videos or anything. I have a PJ setup (the stock setup in the LTD B-55) and want something a little crisper. I was hoping for some seymore...
I started this at SS.org because they're the biggest ERG whores, but I realized I'll get some intelligent opinions over here too. And I  you guys.
Jim at Strictly 7 guitars posted a poll at SS.org asking about 8-string single-coil pickups. I've been talking with him and know that both are...
