This is interesting. Before Ibanez and Mesa came BC Rich and Randall, and still sounded pretty good. No suprise, JP could make anything sound good. At 15:00 they play A Fortune in Lies and it is good, but the Crossroads cover is less so lol. All in all a interesting look at a young band.

  3. Music: Song A Week
Thread for the second week of the song a week challenge, this is a pre season, so it might end in chaos, or might go wrong around xmas, but it's meant to see how it works, get bandcamp/soundcloud stuff done and just serve the purpose of, well, getting all the fuckups and problems out of the way...

  5. Guitar: Tech, Electronics and DIY
Wirelessly posted (Wondernuts) I'm rebuilding the neck on one of the RGs I got from Japan as it is completely cunted. The board was so badly shrunken that I pulled the frets out with my fingers and it was about 0.7mm smaller than the neck at the heel. I've pulled the board off and cleared the...

I named this song Oswald for no particular reason. Our singer is a comic book nerd and wrote the lyrics from the perspective of Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin). Still a demo and some things may change but I thought I'd share it with you guys. :yesway...

anyone has one of these they no longer use? In Europe would be sweet!
  8. Amps & Gear For Sale / Trade / Wanted
So I haven't really played my Marshall JMP-1in a long time. I have several "British" voiced amps, so I'm considering letting this one go. It's in good shape for a 20+ year old preamp. It's currently racked up, so I can't see if there are scratches on the top or not, but I'd assume like all rack...
  9. Guitar: Instrument Discussion
Fuck. Just scrolled through 6-7 pages of this subforum. All djent guitars and newer imports, with hardly any talk of 80s guitars to be seen. Post up anything pre ~'94 (60s/70s too if you like *those* sorts of things) that is on your mind. Even if you just want an RG 550 like everybody else...

Has anyone tried this out yet? It looks pretty interesting. Turning your passive pu's into actives for cheap.

And a small secret. I'll tell you the secret after a bit. I dont want to cause any bias by saying what it is. Anyway, this is a VERY rough mix. It only gets to be called a mix because theres different stuff mixed together. The bass has strings on that were new when metallica were still good...

Mesa Studio Pre Amp I use my Axe Fx II 95% of the time I play these days so this is just sitting I've got a patch that matches it so close I can't even tell it apart rrom the real deal thru the 50/50 Unit is in Excellent Condition has some rack rash on top but sounds killer and is 100%...
  14. Guitar: Gear Discussion
I've got a Mesa 50/50 poweramp sitting around that I've considered selling, but I'm also considering keeping it and pairing it with a preamp for another "flavor" of tone to use. My main rig is, of course, the MP-1 through the 2/90/2, but MOAR gear = MOAR TOAN! The Studios seem to go for pretty...
  15. Guitar: Gear Discussion
I was very generously given this mic pre by a local studio owner. It is long out of production, and regularly goes on eBay for $100-200. Original price was around $450 in the 90s, by my research, though it may have streeted for lower. Two-channel mic pre has a 12AX7 operated with low voltage in...

Hey guys, My band Sensory Amusia hit the studio over the weekend to pre prod one of the new tracks. Features the DAR FBM-100h and my Guitar Logistics S9 "Carnage" 7 string. Hope you guys dig it! (edit: can't seem to embed!)

The one with 3 potentiometers and the EMG Turbocharger ( booster ) and Emg HZ passive pickups. I have one, and cannot find the complete spec sheet, I need to know if the frets were Jumbo or Extra Jumbo. The new one ( with active EMG ) says Jumbo, but I'm pretty sure my guitar has higher and...

I've got a Gibson 500T bridge humbucker out of a Faded Gibson V, its a hot pickup and sounds pretty awesome...I almost didn't take it out of the guitar it came in (but I had a Vanzandt to try out). I will sell it for $45 shipped, but I am more interested in trading for a cheap vocal preamp...

  20. Guitars For Sale / Trade / Wanted
Hit me up with what you are selling, I'm not sure if I'll like something till I see it! San Dimas or Ontatio. Any bridge/pickup config. Beaters OK! As far as floyds go I'm only into non recessed. 92 isn't a strict requirement, I just don't want something TOO modern. Open to 80s/early 90s ESP...
