What can I expect with the EL34 version over the regular version? It'd be the 50 watt version.
Admittedly I'm not well versed on what a certain type of tube does vs. another. I've always just turned an amp on and either liked it or not.
The regular 5150III 50w is pretty much perfect for my needs...
So yeah, went into one of my regular pawn stores and they were having their semi regular 20% off sale. Picked up a Roland HS-60 (a Juno 106 in a different case with in built speakers) and they also had a vintage Chapman Stick. It was in awful condition, frets were green, strings are so rusted...
Looks like Ibanez are finally starting to use regular trems again!! I knew about the RG655 before (which looks really cool in orange) but now they seem to have introduced the RG652K which doesn't look too shabby either. :metal:
Note, I'm not saying the Zero-systems are worthless, but I know...
Got some tasty pickups for sale here! These came in my new RG520 when i got it off of a dude, and i already had a set of Dimarzio's i had planned on putting in. So you reap the benefits!
The Custom Custom is a really sweet bridge pickup. Not as shrill as a JB, less of a brute than the Custom…...
Hello. Yeah, it's me again. I'm a baritone 6-string lover. I've never owned a 7-string of any kind before.
The answers to these questions are probably obvious, but I haven't been able to get a solid answer on either:
1) What's the true advantage to owning a baritone scale 7-string vs a...

Seems like half the basses I try out at the store a) have 24 frets and b) have a huge cutaway and a neck that stays thin up until the top.
I don't really play bass so I wonder how often you use the high frets on a bass.
But why don't regular guitars have that good of access?
I ordered a bernie rico jr 2 days ago and wanted to consult about making it 26 3/16
scale or staying with a regular scale.
I'm both a rhythm and a lead player, I need both to sound equaly good,
and I currently play on a 7 string tuned to B with a 25.5 scale, strins are 0.10-0.58.
I have a very basic question, but I cannot seem to find an appropriate direct answer anywhere. So here it goes:
What would be the regular string tensions on a seven string guitar of 25,5" scale length, i.e. which string has which tension when the guitar is tuned to standard B with a "regular"...
