I traded off my Rhoads for this nifty Japanese market RG550 and cash and its in remarkably good shape for being 30 years old. These ones had the matched color headstock. It goes a little weird blue in the right light.
The measurements of the neck are identical to the ones i got from my RG770...
Damn I need another guitar like a hole in my head.
But this RG570 just popped up locally for $200, has had the neck repaired from the looks of it. I know nothing else except what is listed in the ad.
I inherited a neglected RG570 from my friend and it has been sitting in my closet for far to long! I strung it up and noticed that the neck had a nice big crack. My question is what do I do?
1. Wood glue the SOB back together? I can open up the crack with pressure and drop some glue. Does this...
92 RG570 in purple neon with maple board. Body's beat up with some dings and chips in the paint, neck is straight with minimal fret wear and no cracking at the nut. All it needs is a new set of studs for the trem and pickups and pots of your choice and it's ready to rock.
New cheap beater guitar day. Spotted this thing in a local mom & pop shop a while back. Like 2 years ago back. Happened to stop in today for some strings and it was still there. Checked it out and they pretty much threw it in if I bought 2 packs of strings. Ok, not really but it was close...
Ok I'm not loving the square heel, but I'll get used to it. This thing has seen some serious case time to be in this condition. Looks hardly played, no visible wear other than one nasty ding. Took me 20 min to set up. $290 for this compared to an identicle Genesis costing $1500.
I really don't want to sell this (and honestly feel a bit sick about selling it), but I need the money after my shop flooded, and my Roadstar II has become my main player. The picstory for when I picked this guitar up is here...
Whammy - 4th Gen. $160. I think I still have the original box. Very lightly used. Never gigged. I maybe used it 10 times in a smoke free house. Open to trades.
Boss TU-2 $30. Has some wear. Still works perfect.
SansAmp GT2 pedal $100. Has some wear. Missing battery door. Works great.
What you are looking at is a super-clean 2001 RG570. This is by far the cleanest MIJ RG I've ever seen not owned by Kevan, with only one small finish chip and another even smaller finish dent. There was a good deal of corrosion and pitting on the trem when I got it, but I managed to clean it up...
References- Same name on SSO, Max from here, Ebay same name.
Guitar is in pretty good shape, they're are a few dings and small chips, but other then that its decent. Seymour duncan 58 in the bridge.
Would love to trade for a high gain tube head (5150,6505,)
Dug this up on GC used section for about $300. Awesome shape. Some minor rusting on the trem saddle nuts and a couple tiny dings on the body edges, but other than that it looks like it was in a closet for 20 years.
I have white Breeds on order which will be installed and I will post some better...
