These are used, though not heavily. Grabbed them a while back from a surplus auction to screw around with SSD raid and never really bothered following up on it. They're MZ-7PA1280/0D1. No idea on the hours/runtime (and I can't get SMART status over USB without a kernel driver), but they work...

The 1TB drive in my iMac just isn't cutting it, and while I can do some hax0r shit to add a second drive, I'd like to just upgrade the drive in it, restore from TM and call it a day. It's a Dell e521 that I upgraded the hell out of, and will play most new games with at least 4XAA if...

Basically, looking for a small HDD to install Linux on. 40gb or 80gb would be suffice. Must be SATA. Not entirely sure what price these go for, since new ones from 40gb to about 160gb and 200gb are the same price. I'll pay about £10 - £15 for one. CHeers

Total longshot, but I need 20 or more of these drives to stick data byproduct on and log files. I already have SCSI raid in these boxes for the good stuff - I just need a temporary "place junk here" receptacle. If anyone knows of any business liquidating please holla. They dont have to be killer...

My current IDE DVD burner is broken - won't read anything anymore - so I bought a SATA burner to replace it. The actual hardware swap is no problem. My configuration Biostar TForce P965 mobo 500gb IDE Seagate hard drive IDE Benq DVD burner, replacing with SATA Samsung DVD burner Everything is...
