Kinda curious about it. It's on sale for $50 for a week and I'm thinking about getting it.

the title already says it, basically. I want to finally install my SSD drive and I was wondering if it makes sense at all to partition it like I would partition an HDD drive?

I've built a bunch of desktops in my days, but never really messed around with the internals on my laptop. Bought this thing 4 years ago, and it's still decent spec, so I'm looking to upgrade to an SSD and gain some retrieval speed. My laptop has USB 2.0 ports, no USB 3. So I'm looking at...

These are used, though not heavily. Grabbed them a while back from a surplus auction to screw around with SSD raid and never really bothered following up on it. They're MZ-7PA1280/0D1. No idea on the hours/runtime (and I can't get SMART status over USB without a kernel driver), but they work...

Up for sale is my 2011 MacBook Pro. Excellent Condition. Very little use. Got a new job that came with the perk of picking out a new MBP, so I figured I'd let this one go. Details & upgrades: 13" 2011 MBP with Black Speck Hard Shell Case included Core i5 Processor 2.3GHz 16 GB Ram -...

Greetings MG! I just finished up a mix test using my HD500 and a mix of Superior Drummer and Slate Digital's Trigger. I didn't have a chance to track bass on this but you'll get the general idea. Thanks!

~10 seconds from power off to fully at the desktop and ready to use. The OSX icon pops up, then the swirly loading icon for about 2 seconds, then poof, good to go. No matter how many times I upgrade systems to an SSD, the first boot is always a "holy fuck!" moment for me.

I'm looking to upgrade my Mac Mini to an SSD. Anyone have a small ~20/40GB 2.5" drive they're looking to unload? It seems the smallest I can get retail is about 60GB for 80 bucks which isn't bad, but figured it was worth poking around. I don't need much space, since all it does is run OSX and Plex.

For sale is my 2010 MacBook Pro 13". As the title suggests, it has a Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHZ processor. 8 GB of Crucial DDR3 RAM. 128 GB Crucial Solid State drive. I will also include the original RAM and Hard drive in the sale. References are Mattayus, 7DyingTrees, Lyle and Cassidy. I'm looking...

Wirelessly posted I've just installed an SSD into my 2010 MacBook Pro tonight and all was going well. But I've just tried to open up Virtual DJ Home on it to have a play around with a few songs and the CPU meter is basically maxed out (it never used to get above ~30% before. Is there something...

I'm pretty psyched about having one of my tunes featured as a full mix audio demo on the Slate Drums website :) Check out 'Metal 3' in the audio demo section: Steven Slate Drums Lars

Anyone have any experience with a PCIe SSD? I currently have four drives (2 HD, 2 DVD) in my box, and I can access the last SATA port on the motherboard (the protools cards block it), so I didn't think I could add an internal SSD to the system. I do have an open PCIe slot, so it looks like I...

Had a hunch a while back all my BSOD woes were HD related, because my comp only ever crashed when i ran Chrome. I did a couple of tests, leaving my computer on but unattended for weekends without chrome running and with it, and it doesn't crash without it running. Got this today: What should...

Bought a Lenovo laptop from a friend for school, 1.66ghz Core 2 Duo, 2gb DDR667, WiFi, Bluetooth, 14" screen. Got it from him for 200, minus hard drive, as he was having issues with the 320gb in it, and I decided I wanted an SSD instead of him replacing the 320. Picked up a Kingston 64gb SSD(gen...
