Kemper finally getting in on the floorboard game.
Looks interesting, will need to see some demos. Curious if this will win me over vs the Powered Rack Head. Price is around 2250$ cdn.
Former Judas Priest Guitarist K.K. Downing Is Auctioning Off Stage And Studio Equipment - Blabbermouth.net
Made a deal for $850 Canadian (which I think is a pretty good deal!).
Tested it out. Flawless exterior, quiet amp, not problems with pots.
I particularly liked the clean tones as I don't have an amp that is well known for clean tones (JCA50H and 6505+).
Funded it by selling my Tubemeister...
Say what you will about the band (and I like them - they're consistently good, and occasionally spectacular), Dave Grohl is one of the coolest motherfuckers in the business. Even in a giant FF-emblazoned "throne" on rails moving forward and backward on the stage with his leg still up and in a...
Off the back of Teddy's thread, I thought it'd be interesting to see what the worst fuckups at gigs you guys have had?
As I said in Teddy's thread, we got main support slot for one of my favourite bands, Heart of a Coward. During that time we had;
*Our drummer ruined his bottom snare skin half...
All told, a great way to spend a weekend! My sister and I drove down to Columbus Thursday night and stayed at my aunt's place, and headed up Friday first thing. Wifey and our German exchange student came out Friday night, and all Saturday. They couldn't make it Sunday, so my brother...

Just a random thought really. I've got a gig tomorrow night, just three songs to break the ice with my new band's debut, but I was just thinking how i'm going to be stage left.... ever since I started performing live, I have always stood stage left for no particular reason other than it feels...
2x12 with V30s, front ported, angled to beam tonal fireworks straight into your unsuspecting, soon-to-be-rattling skull and violating your poor, unsuspecting, formerly-unperforated earholes.
With Avatar build quality and Line-X finishes, they look funky, but I bet they work...
Hello currently working on a mix and have a gain stage question for you. I'm working in the digital domain with sonar x2 my recorded tracks usually are running at -9db on the meters with some peaks hitting -6. I have heard people running all the way down to -12. Are my recorded tracks too loud?
This is the first Boss product I've actually been impressed with since I was 15 years old with a no-mids Metal Zone into a Fender.
The tuner is very responsive (tracks well) and the readout is smooth, the controls are logical and straightforward, and it features a parallel output and 500mA 9V...
Hey! :) My band has a great live sound that we're really proud of, but I have always felt our guitar player (I mostly play keys and some guitar in this band) doesn't do enough live as far as filling out the sound. He's got a very unique sound, and it cuts through fairly well, but I feel like he...
Create a two stage potentiometer | Seymour Duncan Blog
This is pretty cool if you have a guitar that could benefit from using both 500K and 250K volume pots, like one that runs a hotter humbucker and a lower output single coil.
Fun Fact: According to this article and this one the JB was made...
