So, I have an LTD FX-360 Paduak Brown Stain. I love the guitar, it plays very well. It sounds amazing. The only thing is, the part above the bridge where I rest my hand/palm while I'm playing is getting discolored/shiny/sticky, logically from the oil on my skin. That's a problem I've never had...
Just in from Grosh, this one is absolutely STUNNING! Believe it or not, it plays and sounds better than it looks!

No idea these guys had a new album come out but I just got it and it's pretty good. :metal: If you saw the artwork and layout you'd think it was a game :lol: and the drums are heavy as hell holy crapola.

If I were to purchase an Ash + Quilt Maple body, use a water-based stain to color the top/back/sides, and then finished the whole thing in 10-20 coats of tru-oil, would it hold up?

I've got this tele body, and it'll be a while before I have a neck and parts for it, but I figure I can go ahead and figure out what I want to do with it. I like the natural look, but the alder is quite bland and has one glued on piece that is a darker. I just need some ideas of some cool...
