Shortly after finishing up the gravel base for the outdoor cab stand a colony of Uinta ground squirrels claimed the bottom section.
Most people up here shoot them, but I like them. I don't really see what's cool about shooting innocent squirrels. There's nothing really macho about that. I'm...
We played at Headbangers Open Air in Germany last friday and it was an awesome experience!
Audio was recorded with our X32 rack mixer in our monitoring rack.
For some reason Emils DI box or some cable didn't work , so we coudn't capture his performance on the gig.
But we play to a clicktrack so...
I see many videos of people having "fancy stands" for their guitars to rest on.
I think it's STUPID.
Ryan just uploaded this so I noticed him having guitar on stand:
WHY do people do this?
I have never had a guitar on a stand.
I always do my setups with guitar in sitting PLAYING POSITION...
The Jeff beck thread has provoked this. I'll leave a set blank for copy/ paste. I AM forgetting people, so I'll update it as I go. This is basically for shits and giggles and to see where everyone stands. I set it up for yes/no, but MG being MG elaborated hyperbolic responses are always welcome...
Did a monster cleanup and re-wire of my desk a while back to get rid of all the cables. The only wire still hanging out was my headphones, so I decided to build a headphone stand :)
I got a life-size skull from China and a Soviet gas mask from Lithuania through ebay, and made a stand out of...
Not sure if this is the right place to write this, so sorry if this thread should be somewhere else but I've been thinking... How can an underground band stand out? It sounds like a silly question but I've noticed how some of the most impressive shows (to me at least) have had big LED...
I was looking around for a multi guitar stand I can cart with me to gigs and practice and whatnot and came across this
Rockcase Pedal Packer with Guitarstand - Thomann UK
Anyone had any experience with these? Even though I don't use pedals (outside of drawers in the rack) I do have a G System...
Just a random thought really. I've got a gig tomorrow night, just three songs to break the ice with my new band's debut, but I was just thinking how i'm going to be stage left.... ever since I started performing live, I have always stood stage left for no particular reason other than it feels...
I want to try and keep this shit together, everything in the pictures goes even the cables, except for the EVH controller. The mic is a SM 57. Everything works the way it should. $500 shipped to the US or Canada. Sold here on MG.org & Ebay as Boots-paul.
I know everyone has one. Mine would probably be Adam D from Killswitch Engage, one of my favorite tones/guitarists, but ugly as hell. Mick Thompson also comes to mind, but for many other bad things as well
Video doesn't show it, but he also wears the guitar on his chest.
There's nothing more shitty and frustrating than a drooping stick. Alas, that's what my boom does. It dips. It slumps. It's generally frustrating.
Please, tell me, what brand to buy that stays stiff and upright?
Seriously. Trying to record acoustics is a lesson in aggravation right now.
I know I don't post here often but I thought I'd share this project that surprisingly turned out rather well.
I've been complaining about not having the funds get a rack style guitar stand, so a friend of mine showed me this link and I was sold on the idea.
How To Make A PVC Guitar Rack Stand...
Just kidding, fuck poorly welded shit stands, I'd rather spend the extra $20 and get something that doesn't look like it was welded by a blind child in a third world sweat shop.
Even though it still probably was.
I ordered one of these:
And it showed up today. :yesway: For $29 it's damn sturdy, and the base is nice and heavy. It's smaller than the DRs I've been using, and as we all know, small = neat. And I like neat. Everyone likes neat. Neat is good.
Compared to the DR stand:
Microphone Stand Reliability Survey
Some research for a mates university project: a locking thingamy to stop mic stand drift after they've been clamped down (but it doesnt work properly).
If you have any experience/opinion on the matter, could you please take the survey. Thanks in advance, on...
And it's pretty much spot on perfect! :yesway: It's this guy here, the On Stage RS7000.
The Mesa fits in there perfectly, with plenty of support and absolutely no wobbles. It's about 4" higher than the top edge of the HD1221, which is exactly where I hoped it would end up.
I'm in the seventh...
