Some of you may remember my thread debating what to do about lightening up my rig. After much debate and trying a couple of bits, I settled on the idea of going for an Axe FX paired with my VHT. Monday night, I spotted an Ultra at a ridiculously low start bid, 20 hours to go and no bids. So I...
Anybody seen it? I think it's pretty good and enojyable.
The only thing I dont like is the sometimes too overly "plot driving injuries"... It's often some "oh my god what a coincidence".
Other than that I like it!
And the ending theme is nice so I covered it on guitar
I love this series, especially season 2-4 (season 1 is a bit goofy but still watchable)
Finally I got around to make a guitar cover of the theme! I chose season 3.
I use a Gallien Krueger amp (of course with a very Somewhere In Time/Seventh Son vibe to it!) Kemper profile from a guy called...
Old news, but it wasn't widely reported enough.
Lots of Dark Tower fans here obviously, and anyone with ears knows For All Kings was one of the best albums last year.
But I was reading an interview where Scott Ian mentioned that Breathing Lightning is about Roland and the Saga of the Dark...
Hey dudes, here's my latest video of craptastic covers :flex: I've played a lot of FF7 back in the day and naturally I've listened to the original infinite times. It's such an awesome piece of music and I always had a rough metal version in my mind so it was only a matter of time before I...

Even so, I'd still like some critiques on the mix. I want to keep consistently moving forward with this stuff, so any advice is welcome.
Thanks dudes :yesway:
This is pretty much the first thing I've ever recorded. I have no clue about mixing, mastering, or how to apply effects to make things sound good. This has no effects applied, no compression, no EQ, no anything, because I don't know how to do that.
And it only took about 4 hours to make this...
Tried out a few different things this time in regard to recording - I layered the lead stuff pretty heavily (center track, as well as a unison track and an octave track panned left and right) as well as some parallel compression on the drums.
Tried to get this one a tad louder as...
I'm kicking around the idea of making a work theme, that'll make MG look like some sort of either news or tech site. White colors, totally bullshit logos, etc. Right now I'm thinking no avatars, no automatic image embedding and no signatures.
Would anyone use it?
- You can now pick...
