So now that I built a pedalboard and I re-did the Babs-Cab with fucking sick black hardware, Mesa Track Locks, and four K100s (which are ridiculously expensive, more than V30s, but the best all around speaker Celestion makes) I figured it was time to do a little DiY action on the head to...
Chris and Drew are going to give me shit for this, but it's got to go.

have gotten a walnut neck thru build..but am concerned about the type of wood use on the wings ? i prefer a resonant cripsy clear tone with agressive walnut tone and the warm of the walnut.. but no ides.what wood will compliment well with walnut neck thru build..i had thought of swamp ash so far...
So, this baby came last Monday but given as how I dropped and broke my new cell phone I couldn't take any pics until this past weekend.
This is my first Carvin, and I am very impressed. My first observations: the soft-case is really nice. Mine was free, but even at $59 it would be a super...

Hey guys, I'd really appreciate it if you could give my Walnut Strat a vote. I was first, but someone with a no-name thing from the 60's has overtaken me. The prize is a $50 GC gift card. It's not a huge prize, but it's more than I have now.
Here's the link: Genuine Fender Walnut Strat.
I've had this for several weeks but have been REALLY freaking busy so I'm just now getting around to posting the thread

As some of you know, I was planning on doing a Jaguar shaped 7 string, but I've now decided against that. I decided to just do a superstrat that is to my taste. I really like the tone of my Walnut/Maple Carvin 7 so that influenced the wood choices quite a bit. My specs are:
Hey guys, after being interested in building for a long time I'm finally taking the plunge. After a few ideas I decided it would be really cool to make a 7 string jaguar. So that's what I'm doing! I have some specs in mind, but they aren't all set in stone yet.
These are the specs I have planned...
This guitar was made by Rick Toone, a luthier obsessed with ergonomics in guitars; this is evident by the radically awesome body sytle.
Here is a boy shot showing off the H-S-S pickups, tremolo unit, and knobs. :yesway: Darren's Javelin body shape looks like a cousin of this guitar!
I'm trying to decide which to get my carvin neck made with.
I'v heard nothing but good things on koa's tone, its a bit pricier, but i dont mind.
The walnut i'm a bit unfimilar with, but its frikking beautiful, and not very expensive.
The mahogany is something i'm much more fimilar with, i...
Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar: I'm just really not playing 8 strings, so it's time for this to move along. In spite of the drama around the builder, this is a pretty cool guitar with the thinnest 8 string neck I've ever played. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
Razar SS 8...
I scored this on ebay recently and it should be here sometime next week. Carvin Bolt, walnut body and neck, birdseye maple board, flame maple top and headstock veneer.
Blue guitars are overrunning my collection
Hey guys, new member here, I'm registered on the JP forum/Jemsite/Fractal Audio forum as Andelusion in case anyone recognises that name!
I got a Carvin DC727 a while ago, with a swamp ash body, walnut top, maple neck (with walnut stripe) and a birdseye maple fingerboard.
I'm thinking about...
