Well, it's going to be alder or ash with a maple fretboard, so all you need to do is swap the pups. Alder bodied 7's are hard to come by all together, so it may still be worth considering. We're expecting him to be offering variations anyway, so you may just get your wish.

EDIT: Also, I'm looking forward to the 2-point trem and I *hope* that it ends up being the Hipshot. :yum:

I know two of the complaints I heard about the Texans were the finish on the neck and some about the finish on the body. I'm pretty positive the body's getting the thicker gloss finish (which, if it's anything like the Interceptor Pros, should be good) and I'm hoping the neck gets the thicker amber finish like the SX Vintages had.

Aside from that, I didn't hear much about the fretwork or string alignment. If those were or are an issue... well, thank god Kurt's got a good return policy. :lol:

Agreed on both counts. I'm thankful for the specs he gave us but that was with the expectation of it being something that would appeal to most people. For myself, I'd be all about a set of 7 string P90's in that bitch (Vintage Vibe?).

@ Josh: He didn't say, but I'm assuming if he was planning on going with the Hipshot version then it would've been mentioned in the specs sheet (totally an assumption, though). That said, I'm guesstimating it'll be somewhere around the price of the Texan and the fixed bridge Interceptors, since it'll be an Agile specific strat. or 2 point strat. trem. Say ~$500 - $600?

EDIT:

One thing I noticed: black pickguard.

Is that for both finishes? It'd look good on the natural ash, but the white should have a white pickguard, right?

From a conversation him and I had a while back, I believe the vintage white comes with a white pickguard for sure.
