My next 6 string purchase is going to be something super retro. I'm a huge fan of the hair era, it's one of my guilty pleasures. Reb Beach, Nuno Bettencourte, George Lynch, all huge influences of mine (actually I think Lynch sucks as a shredder but always loved his guitars).

So, I wanted to start a thread about SUPER 80's guitars! You know the ones - bright colours, angled pickups, headstocks like hockey sticks  Throw up some pics, perhaps your own experiences with them, I need to window shop so I can start prowling eBay and what not - I'll start...

GO! :scream:

 I don't think it gets much uglier than those two, Jack!

I owned two of those, plus the GR-700 synth floorboard. :D
Why am I not surprised?

I really really want this guitar btw, the only real 'fanboi' guitar I've ever wanted:

Or the H-S Charvel/Jackson equivalent he played.

Funny that you see lots of pics with that one and the Charvel Fusion, yet every time I saw them he was playing a Soloist or Strathead Charvel.
Those two white guitars were the ones in the music videos for "Gutter Ballet" and "Streets," so those kind of became iconic at that point I think.

The Hard Rock Cafe in Universal Studios has a white HSS carvetop Charvel with Bartolinis of his. When I found it in one of their side rooms it gave me the chills.
