So, some buddy of mine (if I can call him that anymore) didn't know who Dio was. He's a big Metallica fan, but didn't know who Metallca's daddy was. Here's the mix I just put together:

Code:
Neon Knights	Live Evil
The Mob Rules	Live Evil
N.I.B. Live Evil
Children Of The Grave	Live Evil
Children Of The Sea	Live Evil
The Sign Of The Southern Cross/Heaven And Hell	Live Evil
Rainbow In The Dark	Holy Diver
Holy Diver	Holy Diver
The Last In Line	The Last In Line
The Devil Cried	The Dio Years
Ear In The Wall	The Dio Years
Heaven And Hell	Live Evil
I think I'll burn two copies. One for him, one for me :metal:

classic songs to start off with, but my list would be way different. and as much as i love Dio, the Ozzy Sabbath tunes just don't sound right with Dio singing them.

i never really dug Live Evil that much either .

and where's the Rainbow tunes!? WTF! :wallbash:

Seeing as how he's a Metallica fan, that's how I tailored the list. If he likes what he's got, I'm sure he'll dig and find more.

I thought about just dumping all my Dio mp3 albums onto a data cd, but I didn't want to inundate him

You are missing anything newer (aside from the Heaven and Hell tunes)

There's some great stuff on Killing the Dragon and the Evil or Divine live cd

I'll also agree with Edroz, no Rainbow? WTF?

I need to pick up the Heaven and Hell disk. I heard a couple of the tunes on Sirius, and was really impressed with it. Modern sounding, yet still firmly rooted in their foundations as musicians.

The guitar sound is, well, evil. I like the disc, but I love the production. :yesway:
