So whats the difference between the model numbers? I am interested in maybe picking one up, but the specs seem the same for the 725 and the 727 other than the colors, at least from what I have seen listed.

I assume there is more difference than that, but I cant seem to figure out any major differences.

yep

7 in the model # indicates 7 string, the 25 or 27 refers to the scale length of the neck.
