*Edit, Was supposed to say harder than it sounds...

I was thinking, I have some stompboxes that are not MIDI controllable, but I sure would like them to be.

Would it be possible to wire a transistor with, or in place of the bypass switch? Since my (faux)MIDI footswitch was made and programmed by me, it would be easy for me to control such a thing.

I tried looking around the interwebz, but it appears my Google ninja skills aren't as good as I thought. Though, I did find some interesting products:

404 Not Found

This is similar (but the site appears to be under construction):

This is a video from the creator, but seems a bit more complex than what I want to do.

It seems that the majority of the products I've come across are basically, true bypass switch relays controlled by a microcontroller of some sort (Obviously, it's slightly more complicated than that, but whatever).

All I really want to do is take control of the existing bypass switch(s). Is that too hard to ask?

I have used loop switchers before and they get complicated.

Tony, I'll have to check out your links after work, but at a quick glance, they are still just true bypass relays.
