Hey dudes. A couple weeks back my guitar player's house caught fire, and pretty much all of our equipment suffered pretty bad smoke damage, including the Dual Rectifier that I had bought from a friend a couple months back. Luckily for us, his house was covered by insurance and all of our equipment will be replaced.
Now I've played around with the idea of getting a different amp when the insurance money comes our way, and the main one that has been grabbing my attention is the Carvin V3. Unfortunately, I do not know of anyone around here who owns one to try one out (if there is someone in the Toledo area who owns one, that would be cool if you would let me do this haha) so I was wondering how good these amps are for the money, or if there was something else in high-gain territory for around $900-$1400. New or used does not matter really, just getting some ideas here. I'm going to stray away from 5150s/6505s as I like them, but I'd rather have something more Recto-esque. Exotic suggestions are welcome!
