Have it changed?

Last time I read it, it was about having the option to go back to stock android, do to bloatware and stuff. Not about nicely integrated features potentially being not as good because it's 3rd party.
Technically, it still is. The "bloatware" discussion was with regard to the fact that you need an Android variant (which would include bloat, hypothetically) to access this "nicely integrated feature" you're discussing. That's fragmentation. The thread title and the OP would suggest that that's the case, and fuck, most of your argument would cement that point.

As an aside, my Acer laptop had bloatware that was REQUIRED for the wifi to even power on or to recognize different power profiles (by default it was unable to dim display at all). That's the kinda shit I don't want my phone doing. By all accounts, Android 3.0 will correct the "need" for any third party software to do menial things but based on the article posted early, I somehow doubt we'll get "vanilla Android" back even then.

I've been in the website business for 7 years and I stopped making flash based websites about 5 - 6 years ago and dropped using Flash elements altogether about 4 or maybe 3 years ago. In 2010, the only practical application for Flash that I can think of would be games and if they were designed for PC, then even those are only useful on something with a physical keyboard.
