Jesus Christ, the clean tone he gets just by rolling down his volume control is fantastic!
I've been meaning to put the treble bleed mod in all my guitars for ages now...Yep. :yesway:
He talks about it at around 2:10 - he has a cap of some sort inline with his volume knob, but doesn't say what it is.
If anyone want's the values Andy uses. This was posted on his forum:I need to do some research and figure out which caps will work best in each guitar...
Do a search for "Kinman Mod" if you want to know about the differences between this series setup -vs- the usual "Duncan Mod" version that has the resistor and cap in parallel.Andy had me put caps on the volumes of many of his guitars, and all the AT's he uses. I use a 150k resistor in series with a .001 capacitor. This keeps the tone from brightening up too much as you turn down the volume, and evens out the taper as well.
