My other guitarist has my old 6505+, one of his power tubes stopped having the faint "blue glow" when taken off standby. It isn't the tube because we swapped a different one in and it stayed with the same socket but different tube. Bad grid resistor? I'm not nearly up to date on my electronics as I used to be.

Not the primary orange glow but I've always seen a blue haze in the tubes when taken off standby

To be fair I've only ever own a 6505+ as a tube amp maybe it's just for that or a bias thing...I know I can't be the only one.

Yeah I'm willing to bet its a grid resistor. Especially since the amp apparently did the exact same thing almost six years ago according to the thread I posted :lol:
