Wikipedia said:Intended to be a trilogy, discussions on the details of Assassin's Creed III were already present before the release of Assassin's Creed II, with the game's staff noting talks of possibly having a female ancestor in World War II.[76] However, scriptwriter Corey May has stated that the series will never take place during that period, as a major goal was to take players to settings normally unvisited in games. Other settings include England in the Victorian Era,[77] the Middle Ages, involving King Arthur, or feudal Japan.[78]
I just don't see how they could do it and keep the awesome assassin-y theme going on if you're in an era full of guns. It'd just be a throwback Splinter Cell. Yeah.
I seriously hope they don't do the American revolutionary war. I'm down with it being the US, but I've never been a fan of the revolutionary war's setting.
Playing as Desmond sounds the most interesting to me personally. :agreed:
Feudal Japan would be fucking SWEET.Well, it will have to be after the Middle Ages since then we would be going back in time again. Feudal Japan is actually a setting very very very commonly visited in games. And I'm not talking about games only released in Japan.
Victorian England doesn't seem like a very action-packed era. Especially if it's supposed to be the end of the trilogy. :ugh:
That's kinda what Prototype was. Sorta.Based on the description in the original post, I'm imagining GTA with parkour, and I've got to say, it doesn't sound entirely unplayable.
