Assassin's Creed 3 (spoilers eventually!)

Based on the description in the original post, I'm imagining GTA with parkour, and I've got to say, it doesn't sound entirely unplayable.

Argh, I'm pissed at Infamous right now. I bought it with Red Dead Redemption because it's cheap now and got rave reviews. I can't figure out why people liked it so much. The controls are clunky, the story is lame, the voice actors are comically cheesy, running around the city feels a lot less sandboxy than it probably should, and the gameplay doesn't even start to feel entertaining until you unlock a lot of new abilities. I was placated by how awesome RDR has been, but despite taking my time and dragging it out as long as I could within reason, I'm pretty close to the end, I think.
