Where did you get that little jig that you use to drill the pilot holes for sperzels?

Thanks

Yeah it's pricey, it's only worth it if you're like Chris and buy thousands of guitars per day and install Sperzels on all of them. Chris is single-handedly keeping Sperzel in business

Say, Chris... did you ever get that Hard Drive back from one of Crooks' friends?

Might I inquire why you didn't go with schaller? Are the sperzels much better? I've gone with aftermarket schaller (locking and non locking) on like 4 of my guitars now and I'm pretty pleased.

I have a set of unused sperzels, so there wasn't much of decision to be made

I've been using them for ~ 15 years, and they've treated me well. Generally speaking, once I find something that works, I'll stick with it out of habit. EMGs are the only example to the contrary of which I can think.

Maybe you just need to try the x series? I agree with you on the brand loyalty though.

BTW, could you link me to that pin type connection you solder on cables for easy pickup switching? I know you found it a while ago, but I can't seem to find your post.

I think the Spertzels are a little better than the Schallers, but not enough to make me retrofit them to a guitar that would accept Schallers as a direct replacement.

If they're a direct replacement for stock Jackson tuners, I might have something on which to try them...

Solderless Pin/Socket Pair

:crooks:
Blonde AT? :metal:

Thanks! Any chance you know where to get a kind of spacer to get 3/8 pot holes to accept 5/16? Its a longshot but I figured you might know. I got a little overzealous with the hand reamer before I decided I was going EMG. Now all my guitars can accept 3/8 pots, but quick connects are 5/16

Electrical tape around the inner circumferance works, but I'd rather just have a proper part.

He was talking about the EMG X-series pickups.

I do know that Schaller locking are a direct replacement for stock Jackson tuners (which are Gotoh), since I have done the swap before.

EMG 89 X = Pure win (SA in neck position is like the godliest clean tone ever)

Fitting the massive 6 pin quick connect wire through the pickup wire channel :noway:
