Hmm. I'm not sure the "no Master Volume" and "no gain" controls will make this super useful to your average user of smaller amps. I've not played one, so I don't know for certain though.

It was announced last year, but for that price and wattage I'd grab a used Superdrive 18 head, a Mini Recto, or a TA-30; much fuller-featured (Master volume, FX loop, full EQ, etc.), and with the aluminum chassis they're pretty portable.

There has never been a Budda I've been impressed by so I'm not having high hopes about this one.
Have you tried a Superdrive? The Series II, with the mid-shift, can be much more modern and aggressive. The SD45 is probably the most "modern" of the Buddas.

I'm sure Ola could make it sound suitably metal, but that thing is geared at guys like you and I more than it is at guys like Ola.
