So since I'm trying to away from the 8-string and am looking at going back to seven's I'm curious about the best bang for the buck 7-string. I'm including a poll if you wish to partake.

So, you also want to know what body wood, neck carve, and bridge is best, too?

Lol no, I'm not that naive. I haven't played any of the models I've mentioned so I'm getting people's opinions who have played them.

I'm very bias here my choice would be the premium. I have no experience with the rest but I'm sure there good units to.

I'd say the upcoming Washburn Parallaxe guitars could be very good, with lots of high-end features for not too much cash.

Otherwise, there are some good options out there, like the SBMM JP70.

Out of those, it would be the Jackson for shredder, or the SE for more traditional.
