The HT-1 power amplifier is a low powered push-pull design which produces the crunch and break-up characteristics of a traditional 100W output stage but at a much lower volume. This is achieved by the use of an ECC82 dual triode in push-pull configuration producing 1 Watt output, which is rich in valve harmonics and compression.

I'd be interested to try one at least, if it's a good chunk cheaper than the 5. I'd rather have the 5 though... the 1 isn't going to be THAT much quieter!

There's a head version with reverb too!

When I picked up my 100w the other week, I asked if they had any more products coming out, and he said they had a whole range of 1 watters coming out. I'm seriously debating buying the 45w S1 though, to go with my 100w, just to make life a little easier on the space front :lol:

I heard one in person when Blackstar did a clinic at my store recently...sounded good, but definitely sounds like a small amp. Sounded cool when they plugged it into a 4x12, though!

I'd like to hear how this A/Bs with the Tech21 TM30, because the latter is, imo, the perfect practice amp.

All things being equal (they're not), 1W would be roughly 6dB quieter than 5W. That's a lot. I'd never buy a head, though. :lol:
