I've never pre-ordered something so quickly. Bruce Dickinson is one of my favorite writers of all time, not just favorite lyricist. I've even read his weird early '90s satirical romance novel.

He doesn't indulge those parts in Iron Maiden that much. But most of the time when he gives insight on something it's either the most most scathing shit ever or Monty Python esque or both. Some of his '90s attacks on US/World Politics are among my favorite songs ever.

"Where is our John Wayne?
Where's our sacred cowboys now?
Where are the indians on the hill?
There's no indians left to kill"

That's such a gem of a lyric. Like, it's hypothetically impossible to fit both that much hilarity and anti-imperialism sentiment in one chorus, but he totally pulls it off.

I heard there's a footnote at the end of him talking about Tattooed Millionaire where he apologizes to a young Chris Quigley for taking his money
