Imagine having that sweet, sweet Metal Zone tone with you at all time. In you. Apart of you. Forever.

I already had my first vaccination. I don't feel any more metal.

Yes, but do you sound better going directly into the effects loop? Perhaps you should have Ola demo you.
Of course... that has me wondering how you would INJECT a computer chip. How does something as big as a computer chip make it through the needle of a syringe? And how does it even work after that?
I don't inject reissue circuits.

OG MIJ HM-2 or bust.

It's nanotech! duh..

It's pretty funny that conspiracy theorists are completely overestimating what science can do (mindcontrol with 5g and all that nonsense), while on the other hand completely underestimating science in other aspects (e.g. saying humans haven't been to space).

Science can't even get my dog to stop trying to jump the fence. How are we going to mind control people?

Unless......they've already gotten to the dog, and they're telling him to make it look like he's trying to jump the fence, but in reality it's all just a show......

Edit: Too slow. Didn't realize Markus beat me to it.

In the name thoroughness, I've watched a handful of conspiracy videos, one of which was on the whole vaccine business.

It was a while ago, and I'm no scientist, so take this with a grain of salt, but it was something along the lines of single-celled organisms made from silicon that they can kind of alter to do different jobs as needed. Stuff like helping your body repair tissue - they have this base product that they can tweak before they put it in you, depending on what your body needs.

Then because these silicon things can be "re-programmed", they became microchips, mind-control robots that keep you sick, etc etc.

Still sounds better than a Metal Zone.

A pug trying to jump a 6ft+ fence sounds amazing

As I recall the predictions, nanotech was supposed to have escaped the lab by now and turned the entire world into "gray goop" due to massive self-replication.

Guess we'll have to make do with Metal Zone injections.
after the vaccine when we can all gig again, just plug a cable into each of my nostrils and send it directly to the board for some br00tal tones.

I shudder to think where the bassist's tone is going to come from...

Yeah no, not your nose. bend over.......

I've noticed that kind of insane inconsistency with other things too. Like, they'll claim that technology is being used for some huge conspiracy to do something that technology either will likely never be able to do or at least never be able to do within our lifetimes, but they claim that science cannot know something that we've known for centuries or cannot do something we did decades ago (such as the moon landing).

Single-celled organisms that become microchips? Wow. I've heard some insane conspiracy theories, but that one is definitely the craziest I've heard yet. And it brings up so many questions that I don't even know where to start. It's just best not to engage with people like that since, not only will they not change their mind, but being confronted with facts that contradict their position just make them all the more certain they're right.

Eh, the people who say things like "I can't believe how far society has fallen, how could people believe something that is obvious bullshit? Do we live in some bizarre alternate universe all the sudden?" aren't much smarter than the suckers falling for the conspiracy theories.

Organized religion is just conspiracy theories with slightly higher production values and a veneer of respectability.

There is, entirely unsurprisingly, a fucking massive correlation between people inclined to believe conspiracy theories and people who subscribe to organized religion. Since they are exactly the same thing, claiming an idea that is obvious bullshit is true even though you have no proof that is the case. It's not just Christianity either. Islamic ayatollahs, buddhists, "thor is like my dad" pagans, communist state neo-religions in places like China, etc. etc.

People will believe anything as long as there is something in it for them. If you believe that you are gods chosen people, and everyone else isn't, 5g controlling minds is actually a step up. That's an improvement.

It's not a new thing at all. In the US you can't call people who think Dinosaurs didn't exist fucking idiots, because government is full of evangelical christians and people willing to bend over backwards to appease them. It's considered a "difference of opinion, because both are equally valid beliefs.". Conspiracy Theories, for all intents and purposes, have always had massive power and have been outright protected by people in power from being correctly pointed out as basically being lies. To the extent that you aren't allowed to call them conspiracy theories.

Genteel older moderate democrats saying stuff like, "These are good people! These are my neighbors! I can't believe how far these god fearing bible readers have fallen, believing such obvious untruths. How can they believe a conspiracy theory with such fanatical fervor?" need to repeat that sentence back to look in the mirror and repeat that sentence back to themselves slowly until they realize that that last bit is definitely rhetorical question. Every religion ever started as a fucking laughably stupid Conspiracy Theory.

For all its many, many, many idiotic qualities QAnon and all the Bill Gates 5g shit is actually quite a bit more believable than the idea that if you act like a miserable cunt you will be rewarded with entry in heaven. All of the religious prophets were the Alex Jones of their day. The idea that there were once standards about something having to be true before people would believe it is just a comforting myth.

That's why I'm still on good terms with all my conspiracy theorist friends. Some people disown their anti vax pals, but when you think about it, it's a massive double standard. I don't disown my religious friends. Telling the people who think flouride is in the water to fuck off and then grandfather clause'ing the people who find the phrase "that's a minor infraction that will result in an eternity burning in hell" entirely plausible is just hugely hypocritical, I am not going to excuse that away just because it's slightly older.

It's definitely a mistake to think conspiracy theorists deserve less respect than members of organized religion. That's why they will always have power. You can't get rid of all the conspiracy theories, there are too many that are entrenched and protected that you aren't even allowed to correctly acknowledge as Conspiracy Theories. Conspiracy theories are just religion for underground hipsters with a DIY attitude.

The people who think getting rid of Alex Jones sets a precedent and sends a valuable message about what is and isn't tolerated are ridiculous. Pat Robertson and Joel Osteen are not only still allowed on social media, they are also tax exempt. Not a very airtight precedent.
